My 10 Favorite Ways to Reduce Stress.

Hello pretty babes!

With Midterms coming up, there is bound to be a lot of stress in our lives.  If you're like me, (which I hope you're not) I stress over EVERYTHING.  Not just tests, but EVERYTHING.  At one point, I joked about changing my middle name to "Stress".  HA! But really, I'm always searching for ways to reduce stress, & just feel better overall.

The following 10 tips are just some ideas that I've come to love!

  1. Identify what is stressing you out.
  2. Procrastination.
  3. Control.
  4. RELAX.
  5. Organization.
  6. Learn to say "NO".
  7. Listen to music.
  8. Keep a journal.
  9. Exercise.
  10. Keep a routine.
When you identify what is stressing you out, you know to avoid these, or at least to TRY to avoid them.  This can cause a lot of stress to be relieved.  Avoiding things that cause you great stress can make you happier quite quickly.
Procrastination -- we all have done it at one point in our life.  I know that I like to get things done ahead of time, but when you have so much to do, it is easy to procrastinate with some items.  Not procrastinating is a BIG way to reduce so much stress.  If you don't have to worry about getting something done, why make yourself stressed out?
Know that you cannot control everything around you.  After you realize this, & accept this, I know at least for me this helped lessen the burden of stress very much.  There will always be things you cannot control.  Try painting your nails (this works for me) as a stress reliever.  It helps me reduce stress because I know that I CAN control it.
RELAX. Seriously, say it with me. RELAX. You NEED to relax, & always make time for this.  Even if it is just for an hour or so at the end of the night to wind down.  RELAX.
Organize your priorities.  This will lead to less procrastination, & then lead to less stress.
I am still working on this one.  Learn to say "NO".  I have this thing where I like to please everyone, & find it very difficult to tell someone that I cannot do something for them.  Always working on this.
Throughout the years, music has always been a healer for me.  It has a calming effect & can let you have a good cry.
I've started writing in a journal again, & damn does it feel good.  I write when I wake up, when I find time throughout the day, & before I go to bed.  It has definitely helped me deal with stress every single day that I have written.
Exercising releases endorphins, resulting in HAPPINESS.  You read that right! Happiness!!!! YAY.  We all want to be happy, & when we are less stressed we can be happy! So, exercise, exercise & EXERCISE!!!
I am one of those people who hate to break routine.  Don't get me wrong, I do really enjoy being spontaneous, but when I have a routine that I have followed or am used to, it will always make me feel less stressed & not worry so much.

ALSO, AS LONG AS THIS PHOTO EXISTS, I WILL BE STRESSED & NOT STRESSED AT THE SAME TIME.

That is all. Hahaha.

Live a little, Love a lot.
